60,000L Contest: Tribal Ornamentation

Tribal ornamentation - jewelry, bangles, necklaces, bracelets - we’re looking for jewelry and ornamentation, with a catch - entries should reflect a mix of tribal and cargo cult….

Think colored stones mixed with nuts and bolts recovered from a wreck. Beads combined with rusted out utensils like an old fork.

Our contest follows up the successful insect competition.

PLEASE NOTE, that while we totally respect the rights of content creators these items WILL be given out to visitors at Adventure Island, unlike the insect competition which were for display purposes. We will ONLY distribute, however, as NO copy, NO transfer.

The top 25 entrants will receive a prize. If you are not in the top 25, your entry will NOT be distributed. Therefore, at a minimum, if your entry is being distributed you will have received a prize for your work (outlined below). You also will always retain full rights of your own to the work to sell, distribute or do as you see fit.

Again, we respect the rights of content creators, however the purpose of this contest is to generate give-aways and prizes - limited, no copy, no transfer distribution.
Here are the rules:

- Use your imagination to create tribal ornamentation (attachments) with a “cargo theme”. Again, as mentioned above, pieces that mix up “tribal” and “recovered junk”. Be whimsical.  Be impossible.

- Prims MUST be scalable for smaller avatar sizes!

- Entries are to be attachable items - that is, made of prims not clothing items.

- Send a full perm copy to Dusan Writer before 12:00 noon SL time on March 29th, 2008.

- Judging will take place no later than April 12th. A date and time for judging will be announced by March 29th.

- There is no limit to the number of entries, but you will only be eligible to receive one cash prize.

- Prizes are as follows:
> First place        60,000 Lindens
> Second place  25,000 Lindens
> Third place       15,000 Lindens
> Fourth place to 25th place  1,000 Lindens each

- A panel of judges will score the entries. Judges will be asked NOT to view the creator names during the judging process. Each judge will separately score the entries. The entries will then be tabulated by Dusan Writer. In case of a tie, Dusan Writer will make the final decision.

- Scoring will will be in the following categories, each worth 1 to 5 points:
> Originality based on contest theme
> Prim work
> Texture or color

> Up to 3 bonus points may be awarded at the discretion of the judge for  unique features.

YOUR WORK:
- By submitting your entry you are also agreeing to allow Dusan Writer and/or his appointees to use your creation for the purposes of display, promotion, and as part of environments, sims, and other purposes INCLUDING giving the items out. You are providing an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license for this use and also agree that Dusan Writer can modify, copy and give away without restriction.
- You will ALSO RETAIN the full rights to your creation including the right to sell it, copy it, or give it away.
