Wii Headtracking and 3D on 2D Displays

Seems to be the week for different devices and approaches for interacting with virtual worlds, but my good friend Pais reminded me of the ingenious work of Johnny Lee which mimics stereoscopic vision on a 2D display:

He’s developed a number of Wii-related projects, including a multipoint interactive whiteboard.

Genius stuff, and it’s generated a stream of comments and follow-on development.

So now we have Fix8, Emotiv, and no doubt many others.

    once Nintendo takes advantage of this there is absolutely no stopping them and absolutely no excuse not to produce a First-Person-Shooter that requires this technology and the Wii Zapper
